The donuts are washed, cleaned of seeds and ribs and cut into 1 cm strips.
All the ingredients, without donuts, are put in a pot and boiled until the sugar melts and boils.
Put the donuts, put the lid on and let it simmer for 20-25 minutes, stirring a few times.
Take the lid off and let it simmer for another 25-30 minutes, stirring a few times.
The sauce should be thick and contain slightly softened donuts. Put hot in sterilized jars placed on knives so as not to crack.
Screw on the lids and place the jars in the preheated oven for 15 minutes.
Remove from the oven and wrap in a blanket until cool.
It can be consumed as soon as they have cooled or can be stored for the winter.
