Grape jam - from grandma's recipes

When the white grapes turned yellow, when they were sweet and only good to eat, Grandma made Sweety of golden grains.

Not everyone did and not much is known now, the pantries are filled with jars of cherry jam, cherries, plums, but the grapes are not taken into account properly.

The taste of sweetness is similar to that of goodness made with white cherries.

And that's why we liked it when Grandma got to work, we had a few jars of white cherry jam, the new one, of grapes, it fell just right to allow us, the children, to open a jar secretly.

The easiest grape jam recipe to make

Peel 1 kg of berries grapes white.

Don't be scared, you just have to split the grain in half and the kernels will almost slip out quickly.

Meanwhile, in a saucepan, put on the fire 500 ml of water and 700 gr of sugar, let it melt, start to boil and add the juice of half a lemon, it will help that the syrup does not oxidize, to remain white and translucent.

Grandma sometimes mixed it in a saucepan with a wooden spoon with a long handle, she only used it for jams and jams.

When he saw that the syrup had set, that it was no longer as fluid as it had been at the beginning, he put the peeled grapes and added the juice from the other half of the lemon.

He prepared the jars, sterilized them first, left them to boil in a larger saucepan, carefully took them out and put them upside down on a towel.

He stirred in the jam, told us not to touch the jars until it was cold, and kept trying to see if it was ready.

On a saucer let a little syrup drip and if the drop did not go down, if it did not fall, if it remained beautiful, tied bean, then the jam was ready.

The syrup still looked liquid, but as it cooled it hardened. He put everything in jars, tightened the lids tightly to keep air out, and that was it.

I recently made from this amount, of 1 kg of berries and 700 gr of sugar, I got 3 jars of 400 grams and I still had a small bowl that I could immediately check how good the grape jam is.
