Vegetable pots (spring version)

Vegetable pots (spring version)

Peel an onion and cut it into juliennes. We wash the washed and cleaned carrots into slices. We cut the cabbage faithfully. Cut the potato into larger cubes. Put the onion and carrot in the hot oil.

Cover with a lid and let it soften slightly over low heat. Add the green beans, then the cabbage sprinkled with a little salt and rubbed a little to soften.

After the cabbage has softened slightly, cover with water, add thyme, bay leaf and add the potatoes.

Boil for 10 minutes on low heat, add the tomatoes, salt, pepper, oregano, paprika and bake until reduced and soften the vegetables.

Before taking it out of the oven, sprinkle the green dill.

Spring seedlings - 7 ideas for plant containers

Spring is knocking at the door! Soon we will have flowers in the garden again, we will buy a bouquet on the way to work, we will cook with fresh herbs, we will smell the raw green and more.

Even if there is some time until we put the seedlings in the ground, you can take advantage of this to grow them enough in the house to later withstand the outside conditions. How to proceed? Well, all you have to do is choose the right "food source" for them. Get inspired by the following ideas:

1. Eggshell. Don't throw them away! Try, as much as possible, to break eggs in equal parts, put some soil in each, then insert the seeds in it. Having many nutrients, the bark will help the plants to grow quickly. When it's time to move them to the ground, peel them.

2. Egg formwork. Plant the seeds in it as usual, and when the time is right, cut each compartment and place it directly in the ground, as the formwork itself is biodegradable.

3. Citrus peels. Cut the lemon or orange in half and remove the pulp. Put soil mixed with water in the peel and insert the seeds or even the bulb in it, if you have a larger peel (the one from pomelo is perfect). When the outside temperature is optimal, put the root of the plant in the soil with the citrus peel.

4. Rolls of toilet paper. Since they have stronger cardboard in the middle, take advantage of this. Put them in a stronger tray and plant flowers and seedlings in them. It's an optimal option, especially if you don't have too much space in the house and you still have to move them from here to there.

Seedlings in containers that do NOT degrade

5. Disposable glasses or pans in which you buy food. Wash them before use! Put some coffee grounds in them, then soil and seeds. Don't forget to pour water. Coffee grounds have nutrients and stimulate plant development. In fact, it is recommended to put potted flowers sometimes.

6. PETs. Cut them in half, taking care that the part with neck and stopper has smaller dimensions. Then put the latter in the others (neck down, obviously) and plant the seedlings in them as usual. For best results, drill the plugs several times. Thus, excess water will have a place to drain.

7. Tray for ice cubes. Drill each compartment and put soil, water and seeds in them. You can use it every year.

Mojito

Summer has finally come! If for the last two weeks I could swear it was September, two days ago summer really came and I greeted her with bread, salt and mojito. Mojito is my favorite alcoholic cocktail. Even if there are many mojito recipes, in various combinations, after long attempts we have reached this version, which we really like. I hope so too!

Ingredient:
& # 8211 30 ml white rum
& # 8211 5-6 sprigs of fresh mint
& # 8211 the file
& # 8211 2 teaspoons brown sugar or powdered sugar
& # 8211 ice cubes or crushed ice
& # 8211 mineral water

Let me tell you first about mint: you have to use fresh mint, which you can find in stores like Kaufland or Carrefour, in the vegetable section, in the fridge with fresh vegetables and greens, but also in pots. I took such a pot from Kaufland in the spring, it cost 5 lei and it had 2 bitter mint threads. I moved them, as bitter as they were, into a larger pot, I took care of them conscientiously and now I have a big mint bush.

I cut 5-6 sprigs of mint, washed them, broke the leaves and put them in a large glass.

I put the sugar over the mint & # 8230

And I crushed them all, well, using the mortar pistol.

I then filled the glass with ice. Because I wanted some nicer cubes, I put a mint leaf in each box before putting it in the freezer.
